History of the first freezing tunnel

Between July and August 2018, the idea of the construction of portable tunnels for rent was born, evaluating the needs of the food sector in the cold chain, considering that the refrigeration facilities do not have backups to correct eventualities and there are times of the year when there is greater availability of some raw materials that are lost due to lack of freezing capacity of the industry in general.

Between January and December 2020, a container-type mobile freezing tunnel was built using a refrigeration system with:

  • Bitzer screw compressor HSN6461-50
  • Freon evaporator with 6 fans.
  • RIC air condenser with oil cooler included.
  • Suction trap tank
  • Liquid receiving tank
  • Economizer type plate heat exchanger
  • Interconnection valves and accessories, with a three-way thermostatic valve for oil, and carel electronic expansion valves for economizers and three evaporator circuits.
  • Stainless steel water tank for defrosting with heating resistors
  • Defrost water pump.
  • High cube 40 foot insulated container
  • Insulated sliding door with frame resistances.
  • Electrical panel for the control of valves and motors, winding torque starter for compressor, carel superheat controllers for evaporator circuits and carel Prack controller for compressor.
